A federal jury in Waco has convicted Jordan Anthony Pearce, a former U. S. Army soldier, on nine counts related to the sexual abuse and exploitation of two minor victims.
The conviction was delivered following a trial in the U. S. District Court.
Pearce, 30, hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was found guilty on Wednesday. The charges stem from incidents involving two minor females, whom Pearce abused over several years.
According to the details revealed during the trial, Pearce began abusing one of the victims at his residence on Fort Hood when she was just 11 years old. This victim later reported the abuse to a friend, school officials, and law enforcement. During a forensic interview conducted in April 2023 at the Child Advocacy Center in Bell County, the victim disclosed that Pearce had attempted to dissuade her from reporting the abuse by telling her that no one would believe her.
The second victim reported that Pearce sexually abused her at his residence and other locations between the ages of 13 and 16.
The case highlights the serious nature of the charges and the jury's decision underscores the gravity of the offenses committed by Pearce. The conviction marks a significant step in seeking justice for the victims involved.
Further details regarding sentencing have not been announced at this time.
