Florida Man Indicted on Serious Drug and Firearm Charges

Jamil M. Hampton, a 55-year-old resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, has been indicted on serious federal charges related to drug trafficking and firearm possession. The indictment was announced by John P. Heekin, the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Hampton faces multiple charges, including one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine. Additionally, he is charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine and more than 28 grams of cocaine base.

The indictment also includes firearm-related charges. Hampton is accused of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

These charges highlight the serious nature of the alleged offenses, which involve significant quantities of illegal drugs and the unlawful possession of firearms. The case is being prosecuted in the federal court for the Northern District of Florida.
