Florida Man Indicted for Threatening Congress Members

Jacob Lloyd Lashbrook faces multiple charges for alleged threats against lawmakers.

A 31-year-old man from North Fort Myers, Jacob Lloyd Lashbrook, has been officially indicted on serious charges involving threats against members of Congress. The indictment includes two counts of influencing, impeding, or retaliating against a member of Congress by threat, each carrying a potential maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison if convicted. Lashbrook also faces one count of interstate communication of threats to injure and kill, with a maximum potential sentence of 5 years. U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the case today.
