A Massachusetts man has pleaded guilty to a series of serious charges, including the illegal importation and sale of radioactive materials. Jacob D. Miller, 44, from Hadley, Massachusetts, admitted to importing plutonium from Russia and selling it to customers both in the United States and abroad, according to the U.

S. Attorney's Office.

Miller, a convicted felon, also pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing ammunition and explosive materials. Additionally, he admitted to possessing child sexual abuse material, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

Importing and Selling Radioactive Material

Miller's activities included importing nuclear material without lawful authority. He operated a business named Collect The Periodic Table, through which he sold samples of chemical elements, including radioactive plutonium. His actions extended beyond plutonium, as he was also charged with mailing hazardous materials.

The state of Massachusetts had previously warned Miller about the alleged sale of depleted uranium on eBay, highlighting a pattern of dealing with dangerous substances.

Previous Convictions and Legal Background

Miller's legal troubles are not new. In 2004, he was convicted for possessing child pornography and an explosive device. These past convictions add to the gravity of his recent guilty pleas.

The charges against Miller include being a felon in possession of ammunition and explosive materials, which are serious offenses given his criminal history.

Next Steps

While the details of Miller's sentencing have not been announced, his guilty plea marks a significant development in the case. The charges he faces carry severe penalties, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes. The court will determine his sentence at a later date.
