Multiple Tornado Warnings Issued in Texas Panhandle

Residents in the Texas Panhandle faced a series of tornado warnings on September 29th. The National Weather Service issued multiple alerts as several thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes moved northeast at varying speeds. Around 5:59 PM CDT, a warning was put in place near Lake McClellan, 18 miles north of Clarendon, with storm-related hazards continuing through the evening.

Later updates focused on threats around New Mobeetie, Miami, and Groom, with the storms moving at 15 to 30 miles per hour. Radar indicated rotation, warning of dangerous flying debris and potential damage to mobile homes, roofs, and vehicles. While primarily affecting rural areas, key locations like Canyon and southeastern Randall County were also under alert.

Residents in these areas are advised to seek immediate shelter as tree damage remains likely.
