Ethiopian Military Captures Key Town in Tigray

According to an initial, single report, Ethiopia's military, alongside allied militiamen, has secured a strategic town in the conflict-affected region of Tigray. This development was reported by a pro-government militia on Monday and follows an offensive launched by opposition forces from Tigray last week. The renewed clashes have spread across the regions of Tigray, Amhara, and Afar, marking the breakdown of a peace agreement established four years ago. This deal had previously put an end to one of the most deadly conflicts in Africa.
