UK MOD Honors WWI Soldier with Rededication in Belgium

A ceremony was held for Private George Pert at Harlebeke New British Cemetery.

The United Kingdom Ministry of Defence held a special rededication ceremony for Private George Pert, thanks to efforts by their team known as the ‘War Detectives’. Private Pert was a soldier from the village of Ferryden. The commemorative service took place at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Harlebeke New British Cemetery in Belgium. This event pays tribute to his service and ensures his sacrifice is remembered.
