The Environment Agency has put forward comprehensive new flood defence plans for the coastal town of Portreath. These plans feature significant upgrades to the stream channels, designed to manage water flow more effectively. In addition to the channel improvements, the proposal includes the construction of new footbridges, which will provide vital access points across water pathways. Erosion protection measures are also a key feature, aiming to stabilize the area's natural defences against water damage.
