Texas Observes 9/11 Anniversary with Flag Tribute
Governor Abbott commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued a solemn statement in memory of the tragic attacks that claimed thousands of innocent lives. Honoring those who perished, including the heroic first responders and the courageous passengers of Flight 93, Abbott directed that both the United States and Texas flags be flown at half-staff. This gesture serves as a reminder that Texas will never forget the nearly 3,000 people who were murdered on that fateful day twenty-five years ago in New York City, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania.
