Governor Greg Abbott has announced a new leadership team with the goal of making Texas the permanent home of the United States Space Academy. Led by Representative Greg Bonnen, the team will collaborate with the Texas Space Commission to prepare a comprehensive proposal for the federal government. This follows President Trump's executive order establishing a Presidential Commission to determine the academy's location. Texas boasts NASA's Johnson Space Center, 15 military bases, and top universities training space industry professionals. The leadership team includes experts like Dr. Nancy Currie-Gregg and Dr. Heather Wilson.
