NASA's latest mission, Crew-13, is set to break new ground in space health research. Aboard the International Space Station, astronauts will participate in studies examining how space affects blood flow and clotting, supported by a collaboration with the European Space Agency. They will undergo comprehensive medical tests to detect vision and brain changes, and their return-to-Earth experiences will provide insights on refining re-entry hardware. In a bid to improve future missions, astronauts will also engage in manual piloting simulations that analyze how extended spaceflight impacts their sensory and motion control systems.
