Côte d’Ivoire Joins Artemis Accords

Côte d’Ivoire becomes the 75th nation to sign the Artemis Accords at the Africa Space Expo ASPEX 2026.

Côte d’Ivoire has officially joined 74 other nations under the Artemis Accords, making significant strides in international space cooperation. The signing took place at the Africa Space Expo ASPEX 2026 in Abidjan, the nation's largest city. Representing Côte d’Ivoire, Adama Diawara, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, signed the agreement. Junaid Munir from the U.S. Department of State was also present at the ceremony. This marks another step forward for Côte d’Ivoire, which launched its own space agency just last year in 2025.
