MIT Lincoln Lab Interns Extend Research Roles in Security

Anna Raymaker and Vivek Jagadeesh continue vital security research at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Nearly 170 interns from MIT Lincoln Laboratory have returned to their studies, but Anna Raymaker and Vivek Jagadeesh remain as student technical assistants. Continuing through the 2026-27 academic year, they'll support critical national security projects. Raymaker's research on Automatic Identification System, or AIS, targets radio-based spoofing that could mislead ships. Her advisor, Hamed Okhravi, guides her work on undersea cable security. Meanwhile, Vivek Jagadeesh, a master's student at Worcester Polytechnic, focuses on operating system security using Hardware-Assisted Kernel Compartmentalization, or HAKC, dividing kernel code to enhance security. Their ongoing contributions reflect the lab's internship program, recognized in 2026 on Yello and WayUp's Top 100 list, winning a Public Service Award.
