William Jared Breski, a 38-year-old resident of Eastpoint, Florida, has been convicted by a federal jury on multiple charges related to child exploitation. The verdict, announced by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, includes convictions for attempting to entice a minor to produce child pornography, attempting to transfer obscene material to a minor, and violating penalties for registered sex offenders.

The charges stem from an undercover operation conducted in July 2025 by local law enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations. The operation aimed to identify and apprehend registered sex offenders who were violating state registration requirements. During this operation, an undercover officer contacted Breski through a social media account that he had failed to disclose in his sex offender registration forms. After being informed that he was communicating with a 15-year-old child, Breski expressed an interest in discussing sexual topics with the minor.

Ten days after his release from jail on state criminal charges, Breski re-initiated contact with the undercover officer, who was posing as the child. He sent numerous unsolicited nude images of himself and encouraged the "child" to produce sexually explicit images for him. Breski has been a registered sex offender since 2021.

Breski faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years' imprisonment, with the possibility of life imprisonment for the attempted enticement charge. He also faces up to 10 years' imprisonment for the attempted transmission of obscene material charge and an additional 10 years' imprisonment, to be served consecutively, for the registered sex offender penalty.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 28, 2027, at 2:00 pm at the United States Courthouse in Tallahassee, before United States District Judge Robert L. Hinkle. Assistant United States Attorney Emma Schwan is prosecuting the case.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The initiative coordinates federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims.

U. S. Attorney Heekin emphasized the importance of protecting vulnerable community members from predators like Breski.

"My office takes seriously its duty to protect the most vulnerable members of our community against predators, like this defendant, who would seek to sexually exploit and victimize them," Heekin stated. He praised the investigative work of state and federal law enforcement partners that contributed to the trial's success and reaffirmed the commitment to aggressively prosecuting such crimes to ensure the safety of children.
