FEMA Grant Approved for Hydra Fire in Texas

Governor Greg Abbott has announced that FEMA approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant for the Hydra Fire in Bosque County. This fire has scorched about 1,100 acres and is only 25 percent contained. The blaze poses a threat to over 200 homes in the area. With the grant's approval, Texas is eligible for a 75 percent reimbursement on eligible firefighting expenses. State and local teams are actively working on suppression and safety efforts.
