U.S. and Argentina Launch Andes-Atlantic Corridor

Aiming to modernize infrastructure, the Andes-Atlantic initiative unites U.S. and Argentine efforts.

The United States and Argentina have unveiled the Andes-Atlantic Corridor, marking a significant milestone announced during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week. This initiative seeks to enhance infrastructure that connects Argentina's northwest with Atlantic ports, particularly tapping into the Vaca Muerta energy basin. As the first of its kind under the G7 Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment in the Western Hemisphere, the corridor is expected to unlock billions in investments and foster opportunities for U.S. enterprises. Key priorities include transportation, energy, minerals, and digital infrastructure projects, supported by U.S. financing agencies including EXIM and DFC. Among the major developments is the Vaca Muerta LNG project, which will integrate leading companies and drive Argentina's energy production.
