Federal Initiative to Empower Youths in Oyo State

A new federal program will train 200 youths in Oyo State as part of a poverty reduction strategy.

The Nigerian Federal Government is set to empower 200 youths in Oyo State through a special training initiative. This program is a part of the National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy, running from September 28 to October 9, 2026. The initiative will focus on teaching skills in Graphics and Artificial Intelligence, Makeup, and Fashion Designing. Upon completion, each participant will receive a full training kit. Graphics trainees will gain laptops, while makeup trainees will receive comprehensive makeup kits. Fashion designers will be equipped with sewing machines and starter kits. The program aims to expand across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones and end with a graduation ceremony where 500 tablets will be distributed.
