NASA Promotes Global Collaboration with Artemis Data

NASA pledges to share all Artemis Moon findings globally, fostering open, transparent space exploration.

NASA has committed to making every finding from the Artemis Moon missions accessible to the worldwide scientific community. As part of this effort, 71 countries have signed the Artemis Accords, which outline principles for safe and transparent exploration of space. Recently, NASA conducted a two-part virtual workshop series, running from July 28 to September 8, aimed at timely data sharing. These workshops sought to enhance transparency and collaboration within the scientific community. The first session focused on open science principles and how to implement them, while the second provided tools tailored for Artemis Accords signees. Andrew Mitchell, the deputy chief science data officer for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, highlights NASA's dedication to an open approach in lunar exploration.
