Djibouti to Join Artemis Accords at NASA Ceremony
Djibouti will become the 72nd signatory of the international space agreement.
The Republic of Djibouti is set to become the 72nd country to sign the Artemis Accords. A formal signing ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT on Monday, September 14, at NASA Headquarters in Washington. The event will feature NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson, who will host Djibouti's Ambassador to the United States, Mohamed Siad Douale. With this signing, Djibouti joins a collaborative effort launched in 2020 by the United States and several founding nations to promote peaceful exploration of space. Media personnel who wish to cover the event must RSVP by 8 a.m. on the day of the ceremony.
