They're using an AI-powered robotic platform to recycle single-use plastics into durable building components like home foundations, decks, and various trusses. Their innovative waterless recycling process turns low-grade plastics into useful materials without relying on traditional water-dependent methods. Atlas even provided the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with composite trusses for a bridge in a Massachusetts wetland. The company's systems are designed to be efficient, producing parts at potentially lower costs than injection molding, and their manufacturing cells can fabricate enough structural components for one small home daily. Looking to the future, Atlas plans to deploy thousands of these robotic production systems globally, targeting the construction of one billion homes, all while addressing plastic pollution.
