ESFPPG An active trough to the north is projected to drift southward and move over the territory by Tuesday of next week. This trough is likely to remain strong and active through the duration of next week, and may even intensify with embedded low pressure centers. Widespread showers may be heavy and persistent at times with the possibility of thunderstorms Tuesday through the weekend. Widespread flash flooding may occur from this rainfall. Landslides will be possible along steep mountainous terrain. While there is still uncertainty in the exact magnitude and duration of rainfall, plan now for wet conditions next Tuesday through at least Sunday.
