U.S. Official Visits Guatemala to Combat Transnational Crime

Meeting aims to bolster efforts against cross-border criminal activities.

U.S. Attorney Jay R. Combs recently traveled to Guatemala, where he engaged in discussions with the country's President and Attorney General. The purpose of this meeting was to enhance collaboration in the fight against transnational crime. Combs was part of a delegation that included five U.S. Attorneys and lead prosecutors from nine federal districts. During the visit, Combs also accompanied extradited defendants to Texas. This visit signifies a strong commitment to international cooperation in tackling cross-border criminal activities.
