The United States has committed a million dollars to enhance forensic support for the Nepal Police. In total, over five million dollars in humanitarian, health, and forensic aid has been sent to assist Nepal after recent devastating floods. Major contributions include three million dollars for food and logistic support via the World Food Program, aiding ten thousand households, and $685,000 distributed by Catholic Relief Services for essential supplies. The U.S. has also delivered specialized recovery tools and first aid kits for ongoing rescue missions. Currently, a four-member U.S. Military Civil Affairs Team is actively participating in Nepal’s disaster-response efforts.
