According to an initial, single report, Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences was struck by a Russian drone attack. The city's mayor, Vitaliy Klitschko, stated that the incident resulted in one fatality and three injuries. Footage showed people leaning out of windows, evacuating the building as firefighters assisted them. A large plume of black smoke was seen billowing from the site.
