DOJ Unveils Charges Against Russian Intelligence Operatives
Five individuals linked to Russia's intelligence services face charges related to global attacks and murders.
Federal authorities have unsealed charges against five individuals alleged to be working for the Russian Federation's intelligence services. These individuals are accused of orchestrating attacks and murders across the globe, including in the United States. The network reportedly attempted to hire individuals within the U.S. for surveillance and targeted killings. Additionally, they are implicated in planning acts of terrorism against military and civilian infrastructure in Europe. This announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Jamie McDonald, alongside Attorney General Todd Blanche and Assistant Attorney General John A. Eisenberg. The charges reveal a conspiracy to finance terrorism and commit murder for hire, unveiled today by the Department of Justice.
