AI-Boosted RNA Vaccine Stays Stable at Higher Temperatures

Researchers at MIT have made a breakthrough in making RNA vaccines more heat-resistant. Using AI, they developed a formulation that can keep RNA vaccines stable at room temperature for up to a year and at nearly 100 degrees Fahrenheit for two months. The AI helped predict optimal formulations by analyzing nearly 50 FDA-approved excipients, speeding up development to just weeks.

Tests on mice with this new vaccine formulation showed immune responses comparable to those from the Moderna vaccine. This advancement could simplify vaccine distribution and storage.
